We Fight for:
Reasons like,
Some of our favorite Hero's sons photo is teared !!!
Some one abused you while you violated some traffic rule.
Some one kept a bag underneath your Seat in the Trains.
Some one took your cur chief(a method to reserve a seat )from the seat and is sitting there in that place.
Some your your favorite/related politician is arrested for killing some one/ driving over the people sleeping on footpath.
Some entered in the middle of the queue(rail ticket/ movie/ buss pass/ milk/passport etc etc. every where queues only), where you are standing.
Some of your friend/Brother(may not be having driving license)hit a car or bike with his vehicle and others are trying to accuse him.
Some one said, why you are doing like this?, when you spit (after pan) on the stairs of a building.
We don't fight for :
Some one in the parliament said that Lord Ram is not existing and is a fictional character.

A film director makes fun out of parents/Teachers/preachers or elders.
A Govt. official/clerk/peon asks for bribe to get a driving license/ birth certificates or some thing like this.
A politician/ counselor/ ward member/ sarpanch/ or a govt official doesn't work on providing the basic necessities like Roads/ Water/ Power/ Drainage system/ Park/ School in your area.
(These are supposed to be there before the colony is completely build(or when the layout gets permission), they are elected or paid for that only)
Some one Obstructs the Road saying Some Function/Pooja/Ceremony etc.
(They would have not blocked if there was a common area/community park in your colony).
Some one digs up the Thar/Concrete road to get a water connection of drainage etc, but doesn't repair it after he is done with that.
(Same guys will spend lacks of rupees to build their home !!!)

A public servant (From an Hospital/School/Revenue/Road Transport office/Secretariat/Police station/ Municipality) doesn't do his duty.
A politician promises to do lot of development activities for people in his constituency and doesn't not spend time for constituency development, but on eating all the money(of development).
The money from:
Your Income Tax
Your House Tax
Your Commercial Tax
Your Property Tax,
Your Excise tax
Your Toll tax
Your Electricity/Water and other Bills
Does this mean that,
we don't love our country?
we don't respect our religion and our culture or values?
we don't like our country or state or district or area or colony or street to be developed, clean and with all basic infrastructure.?
Yes,
we love our country as we love our family and friends, but we give last priority to country.
we respect our religion, culture and value and we like to believe in our faiths, rituals, but with a least priority.(we ignore or break them when needed)
we always blame the politician/officer or any one related to any failure, but we fail to question them, fail to refrain voting them, fail to get into politics.
Lot of great Movies came giving us lot of inspiration (may be until we come out of the Theater)
Like:
RangDeBasanti
Aparichitudu/Anniyan
Tagore/ Ramana
Roja
But, they don't remain in our minds for ever, we just tend to forget this when ever we wanted to accomplish some thing that is personal or related to some one we call ours(confining ourselves to a few people)

So we should start spending at least one minute a day about this starting from now,
as we have time for lot of other low priority things.
We should start refrain from doing things that hurts/troubles some one, as we get troubled if some one else does the same to us.
Have great time.
Live happily and peacefully and let others live peacefully.
Don't violate rules, and maintain basic etiquette, make life easy for yourself and others.
As we respect our family, let us also respect our society, culture and beliefs, don't let any one try to break/disturb your entry.
Let us prove how great we were and how great we can be,
we should remain the role models to the entire world.
Comments from a friends:
From Phani :
I too condemn all this, but what exactly can we do. The problem is that, we (hindus) act with more rational than those who create arson about things like these. Remember what happened when a Dutch newspaper published hilarious comic strips on Prophet and Allah. The whole muslim world rioted, only to create destruction and terrorize others. What they get is, "ALL" muslims stand banished as being extremists. What exactly is a wise move in current situation. Had Karunanidhi been just another man, everyone would have just ignored him, and thats what is happening now.
I think we know what is true and we need not go to some court to prove its authenticity. After all its just another human with his own opinion giving the judgement.
Then where exactly is the problem. I suppose its in us. Its in ALL of us. Let us clean the crap from grass roots.
We are not interested in being leaders, but we disparage them. We don't elect our leaders, and we blame them. We don't even know how educated our leaders are. US educated are disinterested / scared of being leaders. (We - refers to most of us, including me). I am ready to forego my career for getting into politics. How many can come along with me. How many will bend their lazy backs to vote on the day of decision. Its when everyone votes that we can have our voice.
I am not against extending my support for fight against Karunanidhi. But I am sure neither govt. at the centre (PM Manmohan Singh hasn't got regard for Ramaayana, but fires the Arrow at Ravan-idol initiating the Ram-utsav at New Delhi) nor at state (our CM Rajasekhar reddy is a Christian who presents the Utsava to Tirumala Temple) has got any interest in this regard. If we have to have things in control its through power, and as per current benchmark junta decide the power. If we have to really fight back, lets start being responsible. As a first move, we ensure that we cast our vote. We spread this word and thus gather more power.
I do extend my support against Karunaanidhi.....I wouldn't rather call him Raavan, as even demons had order way back in Tretayuga. This fellow doesn't seem to have even common sense...
Rgds,
-Phani.
Mail from Mr. Ram Mohan K:
I feel this is the right time to express some of the feelings burning in my heart for quite some time... I will try to be as brief as possible.
I feel that most of us are prosaic, unconcerned. We are so deeply buried in the short term goals and constrained field, that we don't perceive the long term results when we contribute some thing towards betterment of the society. I can't find any word other than selfishness.
I think we must watch Rang de, Anniyan etc daily or atleast when the traces of the feeling die down.
I request all of us to read Ignited minds and Wings of fire. Form groups or join existing groups like ignited minds on Orkut and other such powerful forums, and get mobilized
Get awareness about Lok Parithran and such orgs. Know about our social responsibilities.
I feel a nation wide movement should start which is beyond cast, religion and other such obstructions. This is the time for reincarnation of freedom fighters, rather reincarnation of 1857 rebellion.
I pray to the God that this would ignite the urge to fight against ill will, and hope that this thread will not die down as many other such feelings had.
This is the biggest group I can mail to at this point of time. Please grow this.

Ganga Reddy says:
I can understand your frustation.
I don't agree that people do not care about these things.
It is just that they don't know right plotform to stage protest.
See there are inumerable things that are of greater importance than
rama issue.
It is not that i am marginalising this issue. I am saying other things
are as important as this if not greater.
If the motive of these mails to create awareness about this, then i
welcome it.
What we lack here is good leaders who can take us forward.
This is what mentioned in WINGS OF FIRE.
Let us use this platform to identify such leadders and organisations.
For the current issue though, i extend my support.
Inform us the agenda for course of actions.
By next Monday I think most of the recipients will have read the thread and posted their comments.
Let us bring awareness among ourselves on groups and orgs that are already working towards noble cause. We will join them and contribute towards social harmony.
As an initiative, please go through the motive of Lok Parithran

FYI
Supreme Court verdict.
Dear All,
Title : Right to Emergency Care - Supreme Court.
Date Of Judgment: 23/02/2007.
Case No.: Appeal (civil) 919 of 2007.
The Supreme Court has ruled that all injured persons especially in the case of road traffic accidents, assaults, etc., when brought to a hospital / medical centre, have to be offered first aid, stabilized and shifted to a higher centre / government centre if required.
It is only after this that the hospital can demand payment or complete police formalities.
In case you are a bystander and wish to help someone in an accident, please go ahead and do so.
Your responsibility ends as soon as you leave the person at the hospital.
The hospital bears the responsibility of informing the police, first aid, etc.
Please do inform your family and friends about these basic rights so that we all know what to expect and what to do in the hour of need.
Hi,
First of all thanks for making an effort to bring awareness and discussion about this issue.
As Ganga reddy said, we lack proper platform to protest. We need to clean our system first. The midset of people has to change. Only then we can progress better. The eenadu article which u have sent in ur mail explains how bad we are at our civic sense. We don't clean our neighbourhood, we don't follow traffic rules.. lot more to mention.. I don't want to repeat them here. First we need to build our civic sense. Everyone of us want curruption free, developed india. But how many of us are actually thinking & trying for that ? We get inspired by the movies when we see them.. We get inpired when someone talks or forwards a mail about our India. But we forget after that. We need a constant source of inspiration. This thinking should be a continuous process. Speaking or writing words is very easy than implementation.
Our ancestors gave us incredible culture. Now it is very much diluted. Why are we running behind westren culture ? Are we thinking about yoga instead of joining gym for fitness ? Are we learning karnatic/hindustani music instead of westren music ? Why are we eating more and more pizzas, sandwitches though it is not suitable for us ? I was shocked to see an american in an arranged talk about Yoga in our company. He highlighted the importance of Yoga for physical and mental healthyness. This shows that time has already arived to learn our culture from foreigners.. Some of the quotes by famous personalities..
We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made. - Albert Einstein.
India is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend and the great grand mother of tradition. - Mark Twain.
If there is one place on the face of earth where all dreams of living men have found a home from the very earliest days when man began the dream of existence, it is India. -French scholar Romain Rolland.
India conquered and dominated China culturally for 20 centuries without ever having to send a single soldier across her border. -Hu Shih
(former Chinese ambassador to USA )
I don't think those people will say the same thing if they see present India. Isn't this shame on us ?
Regarding the issue of Ramsethu, Yeah we should protest it but before that there are so many other things which we need to address first. They have highest priority.
Thanks,
Raju.
The poem 'Deshamunu Preminchumanna'is a famous work by Mahakavi Gurajada Apparao, a freedom fighter. Here is the essence in my words..
Love our country, spread the goodwill. Don't boast up but help and serve the people. How can the country develop if the countrymen are prosaic and despair. Don't be lazy, and start the journey. If you stand back you will fall behind. The jealousy in our countrymen has destroyed the harmony. Work for intimacy, leave behind the selfishness and work for others amelioration.

What, according to you, are the most severe hurdles/problems hindering development, and destroying the harmony in our society.
How can we fight them back.
It has been two months since the last post, I don't want the thread to die down as I feared..
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.
When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.
- Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984)
Different groups of people were attacked by Nazis and the author was concerned about the inactivity of his fellow citizens.
Our situation is similar to this. We are attacked by terrorism, corruption, communal riots, foreign influences, and lots to mention. This time looks more threatening than our slavery age before Independence.
